How Rabbit dreamed of Hedgehog and Bear-cub.

Rabbit run to Bear-cub through the first snow.
-Bear-cub! I know now you are the best of the best! shouted Rabbit.
-And what about Hedgehog?
-He is good too, but you are the best!
-What happened to you, Rabbit? You better sit down and relax. What are you jumping?
-I woke up this morning...and I got it! Said Rabbit.That there is no one in the whole world better than you!
Entered Hedgehog.
-Hi, Bear-cub! He said. Hi, Rabbit! What are you doing indoors when its snowing outside!
-I was going to visit you, told Bear-cub, When he came and started to tell me I was the best.
-Right, Hedgehog said. Didn’t you know it before?
-He is truly the best, isn’t he? Rabbit said.
-I'll say! Hedgehog smiled to Bear-cub and set down to the table. Lets have some tea! ..and they had some tea.
-You know I had a dream today, Rabbit told. Like I was the only one left in the whole forest,like there was nobody, nobody at all - no birds, no squirrels, no rabbits, - no one! “ What should I do now?” I thought to myself in the dream, and walked in the forest.
-The forest was all covered by snow, and there was absolutely - no one! I went here and there, I walked around the forest three times! There was absolutely no one, not a sole! Can you believe it?
-Sounds scary, Hedgehog said.
-Oh, yea, Bear-cub said.
-And no traces ether. Rabbit said. The sky was a cotton wool .
-What? Cotton wool? Hedgehog asked.
-That’s right! quilted, heavy sky. Dead. Dead and deaf, like it feels under the quilt.
-How would you know, it was deaf? Bear-cub asked.
-Because I shouted. I would shout and listen...Deaf.
-Well,well,well.. Hedgehog said.
-And then, then ..!
-What?
-And then..can you imagine? from under the old stub that is on the edge of a forest...
-Do you mean the one on the other side of the hill?
-No, the river-one. Somebody got out from under that old stub that is on the edge of the forest, by the river.
- What? Who? Bear-cub said.
-You! Rabbit said. Bear-cub,it was you!
-What would I do there under the stub?
-You better ask me what you did when you got out!
-What did I do?
-You got out and quietly said “ Don’t be sad, Rabbit, we all are – alone”.You stepped up to me, hugged me and put your head next to mine....I felt so good, I burst in tears.
-Me too? Bear-cub said.
-You too, Rabbit said. We just stood there and cried.
-What about me? Hedgehog asked.
-You wasn’t there, Rabbit told. There was nobody else. Imagine! Rabbit turned to Bear-cub. The forest is empty, the sky is like a quilt, no-one-else! And we are standing, crying.
-No, it can’t be! Hedgehog told. I would certainly be there too!
-Its just a dream! Bear-cub said.
-So what? You were crying and you haven’t notice me when I got out of the bush. I got out, saw you crying; well, I thought to mself, you should have your reason...so I decided not to interrupt.
-No, You wasn’t there! Rabbit said.
-Yes, I was!
-No, you wasn’t!
-I told you I was! Hedgehog sad. I just didn’t want to interrupt you while you were crying.
-Why of course he was there! Bear-cub said. I saw him !
-Why didn’t you tell me? Rabbit said.
-Because I saw you were lost, so I thought to calm you down first, and then to tell.And then,what is there to tell? Don't you know that Hedgehog, he is always with me?
-Anyway, I’m still thinking we were alone, Rabbit said.
-It just seemed to you, Hedgehog said.
-Right, just seemed,said Bear-cub.
-Well, and If so, did I have something with me?
-Yes.
-A rucksack, Hedgehog said.
-With the carrots, added Bear-cub.
-Right! Rabbit said. Then do you know, who you are for me? You are the best of the best of the best on this earth, in the whole world!
